itunes keep opening

Hi,
I have a macbook, brand new, only a month old. I have the latest version of iTunes installed. However, when I am using my mac, iTunes will magically open up. A few minutes after quitting iTunes, it will open again, all on it's own. This happens both when my ipod is connected and when it is not. Can anyone help??

This use to happen to me. Do you have a iTunes widget in dashboard? If so, just remove it and everything will work properly

do you have last.fm? if you do it keeps itunes open
