Soft, subtly fuzzy text on Macbook?

I've had my Macbook for about a month now, I love it, but one thing that drives me up a wall is the fuzzy-soft look of the text. I recently bought a miniDVI-DVI adapter to connect it to my Apple Cinema Display (which is usually being used for my PC desktop) and low and behold, text was just as fuzzy. Does anyone have any tips here?

What's your resolution set at?
