Sleep Mode

I made the switch earlier today and I'm only just getting the hang of things.

Now I want to download large files from my server, basically backups from my old computer and I was wondering if I put the MacBook into SleepMode it will continue to download all my files?

Nope, sleep mode spins down the hard drive.

Open System Preferences, click on "Energy Settings", then click on Options. Set the amount of time to pass until the computer sleeps.
