I just got my Mac Pro and I'm using lobomoto's Fan Control and it works just fine.

That's exactly what I'm looking for thanks.

For those searching for it and can't find it like I did, here is the link.

Don't be alarmed, your fans will speed up once it's installed. I actually thought the landscapers were outside blowing when I first heard it.

BTW the Mac Pro sounds like a **** train when the fans are turned all the way up, they are very strong... ;)

I lowered all mine down because I normally run a massive amount of programs plus I use Desktop Manager and run 2 desktops on my dual monitors. So if it heats up just a little the fans will start running faster and keep it cooler. I was always told the cooler it runs the faster it runs and the longer the hardware will keep. So....

I pulled all mine back to the front and the lowest settings, but that's just me.

Here is a screenshot of mine. Notice the little sliders, just grab the ball and slide it where you'd like to fan to start getting faster. Basically it says when the temp hits this degree, make the fans this much faster and as it gets hotter, speed them up at this rate...

Has anyone noticed that temp reading for Fan Control? Mine is stuck at 32 degrees and doesn't get any higher. I got worried and downloaded a widget that shows processor temp and I was right. I had all 4 of my processors maxed out in terminal from yes and they were running at around 150 degrees. Even with Fan Control removed and uninstalled and maxing them out, the fans never got any faster. I'm beginning to wonder if there may be a problem with the temp/fan controler in the Mac Pros...

Anyone else having this issue?
