Hi all. I'm going to be making the switch form pc to Mac hopefully this month and I have a quick question for you.

At the moment I have a home network set up so both me and my flatmate can get on the net. I went to the manaufacturer of my broadband routers website and they said this...

"Does the Cable/DSL Wireless-Ready Router support any operating system other
than Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows NT, or Windows XP?

Yes, but Linksys does not at this time provide technical support for setup,
configuration or troubleshooting of any non-Windows operating systems."

Just wondering if anyone knows how I would go about setting my router up on the Mac since these guys won't tell me how.

On the PC I had to open up IE and go to a website which asked me for a password. I then entered a few details and I was good to go. Is it this easy on the Mac?

Thanks!

I use that same setup with a Linksys wireless router. It is incredibly easy to set up on the mac and requires very little configuring. You should not have to go into the admin settings at all to set it up

Brilliant, thanks a lot.

Now my only problem is deciding which Mac to go for! :D
