Active Directory in Macs

We just bound our department's MacMini to the domain to play around a bit and see how integrated we really could become (I challenged a coworker to try to use the Mac as his primary machine). We've been successful in binding it and syncing the exchange server with "Mail". What we cannot figure out is how to actually access the Active Directory, e.g. we wish to be able to see the entire directory as before (all of the users within the directory), they certainly aren't magically appearing in the Address Book. We really prefer not to use Entourage and enjoy using native software.
