Need Help getting Album Art To Show Up on iPod

I have an iPod video, and I wan't add some album artwork to a song that is already on my iPod, but It won't show up on my iPod when I play it (on iPod not computer) It obviously shows up on my computer While playing, is it because the image type cannot be .gif format? :black:
