i'm trying to copy a DVD and it will only save about 35 minutes...
i've tried twice and both times it ended ripping during the same scene, but at slightly different times (about 10 seconds difference).

help?

I use MacTheRipper to copy and then run the copy through Handbrake to compress it more...

I've seen many recommendations here for this method. I don't know the pro's and con's, sorry, it just works for me.

Let us know how it goes, and if you need further assistance...if you plan to download any movies to an iPod then iSquint compresses the file even more.

new question... in mac the ripper, what's the RCE removal selector?
how does this affect the rip?

it told me that the RCE was detected, but i hadn't set any region in the RCE removal Selector... i haven't ripped yet, what does this mean?

Sounds like a similar problem i'm having. Second time this has happened now. Usually everything runs smooth. Is there a solution to the problem, other than using Mac The Ripper? Would rather not have to get to grips with using yet another application ...Newbie doesn't come close!

Posted on the HandBrake forums but as yet have been no help. Any help from anyone here would be much appreciated...
