me too

Big D,

Have you recently upgraded to 10.4.8 via combo updater?

I was having the same problems this weekend, as well as camino crashing every minute so I applied the 10.4.8 "intel" update from apple "support" section and everything has worked fine for the last 36hrs..

May be worth a try

Does it seem to do it on certain files or is it just random. I had the same problem untill i found out i had about a dozen corrupted music files. Once i got rid of those it has run fine for close to 2 years now.

Just got back and I have Version 7.0.1...So it can't be that Macca

However it could possibly be corrupted files but is there any easy way of finding out which are the corrupted files through a list of nearly 200 songs.

It could be due to wrong Midi settings. At least it was the case for me.

Open /Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup.app
Change the Audio Input & Output to 44100.0 Hz / 2ch-16bit
Restart iTunes

Ok

Hi Big D

Yep mine is 7.0.1 and has been since its update, it was just that I had some issues with some backup software so I went back to 10.4.6 then updated to 10.4.8 for a second time to sort out my other issue. It was after that I had crashing iTunes issues so tried the intel 10.4.8 updater to overwrite the combo update. I only did this 'cause I had read some problems can be fixed this way. Worked on iTunes for me. But as James said it can also be corrupt files. My suggestion was based only on if you had "recently" updated to 10.4.8 on the combo.

Anyway good luck

Cheers

Tried the Suggestions, it looks like it might be a corrupt file. It plays like the first 5-10 secs of the song before crashing. However here's the tricky part...

If I restart iTunes it plays that same song perfectly...:s I'm Confused.
