Reading PDF files

Hello,
I have trouble reading PDF files (they don't download or the URL page is blank). I have downloaded the last Adobe reader and it did work before but recently it just doesn't..... please help (I can't read all these PDF vacancy notices....)

which browser are you using? Have you tried downloading the pdf from its link?
If you're using safari, I don't think you need to use Acrobat (or reader, or anything from adobe)

Also, is it all pdf files, or certain ones from a site?
