After 10 phone calls... I finally found a store that had some here in Toronto. I called early today they said 2 weeks, called back 3 hours later and they had some... go figure...

I am going from a 1.83 MBP to the base line 2.16 MBP.

Just transfered over all my stuff... my impressions so far:

- Definatly faster (I haven't even put in my extra gig stick and everything seems nice and snappy)
- Quiet and Cool (no buzzing and it is definitely cooler)
- The build seems more solid, could just be cause its new, but the hinge seems much stronger
- My illustrator didn't transfer over, not sure whats up with that but my photoshop did no problem

Just finishing up the drain on my battery then I will install the other gig.
I'm impressed and it was worth the extra $300 I paid (education discount - the $1950 I sold my old one for).

I'll give more updates later if anyone cares.

just bring it to your local apple store with your receipt. Shouldn't be an issue if you are within 14 days or close to there. But don't wait too long

I get all my ram from powerlinememory.com
They have never failed me, I have used them 3 or 4 different times in the past. (its the same ram as the old MBP)

If you can exchange your older one, I definitely recommend it. I'm loving mine (15" 2.33 Core 2 Duo), ...got it set up next to my work PC (which I think I'm just going to use for email now...LOL).

I just arranged to return my month-old 17" core duo version for the core 2 duo. I bought mine a month ago and was told by the store that the core 2's wouldn't be around until next year. They agreed to take mine back, and for $150 more then what I paid I'll get the core 2 version. Very accomodating store!
