Is it me or does Firefox 2.0 seem faster than the older Firefox.

Ya I agree - it is zippier but I can't imagine why ... I like it though, it has incorperated many of the extensions which I used with firefox (like ftp & a nicer download manager).

I do think it is a little faster also. I hope the new Safari 3 will be quicker also.

Yeah, I've noticed it was quicker.. I just hate that there's no 2.0 compatible session-saver/manager extension, every other ext works no problem, just not this one :(

Much quicker for me. I might actually start using it more often with all the sweet plugins.

Quicker for me too. Have you guys noticed any improvement in memory usage?

not that much faster for me. Plus, hardly anything is compatible at this stage.
The ONLY reason I used firefox was because of the v1.5 deviantart plugin allowing me to view all my message thumbnails without having to subscribe. What's worse, there's no way of contacting the extension author, so no chance of an update.

I don't think any themes I used work either. I really hate the default browser skin.

At least the Japanese dictionaries still work...

Safari's still no.1 for me :D

Does it integrate more into OS X? Previous versions felt like you were running a Windows program since all the buttons and menus weren't in Apple style.

I think it does exactly that. On my 12" G4 I always thought the address bar etc was too big for the screen, looks much better in 2.0. Look and feel is generally improved no end IMHO.

Still wont deter me from Safari though!

It's definately faster and there are even benchmarks showing this.

There have been some blazingly fast FireFox 3 nightly builds (Minefield), so the future is promising.

Personally I love Firefox, but I am getting a bit concerned about the bloat. It was supposed to be this ultra-light browser back in the day, but its now weighing in pretty heavy.

And I find Camino even faster than FF.
