OSX Will Not Recognize Motorola L7 SLVR

I recently bought an unlocked Motorola SLVR and when I plug the phone into my iBook G4 via USB the computer states that I have inserted a disk which OSX cannot read. Why is this? I would like to get to iTunes so
I can transfer songs via USB. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.
