Does anyone know what is involved in getting the educational discount at the apple online store? Do you need some sort of code from your school?

i just ordered it online by going to the educational section and selecting my college. They may check on it to see if your a student im not sure but i didn't need any proof when i ordered online.

When I went to the store to pick up my MBP all I needed to do was show the guy somehow that I was in college, this entailed showing him an email from my school, seeing how I somehow forgot to bring my ID. I dont believe its anything really official.
