My first post is a question.

I have two 1GB sticks of Mac memory to add to my new Mac Pro.

Does it matter which slots I add the new memory to?

I have the original two 512 sticks in and I want to add the 2 gigs for a total of 3GB.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I purchased the memory at a Mac store in Milwaukee, and paid through the nose for it!

I kept searching and found the answer.

The back two slots on the bottom memory card.

Thanks anyhoo.

I'm sure I'll have more questions some of the dumb variety as I work my way into the Mac world of computing.

Should be a diagram on the inside of the side cover and an illustration in the booklet that came with the Mac.
