cooling mats etc..

how is everyone keeping their MBP cool? mine runs HOT, i use the SMC fancontrol, but I use it sparingly b/c i really dont wanna deal with having to replace worn fans.

i also keep it elevated so that air can surround it as much as possible.

i am looking at cooling mats etc...but wanted to see what everyone else thought.

I use a Targus Chillhub with my Powerbook G4 and I have to say it cools the PB much more than I thought it would. I've never experienced how hot a Macbook Pro gets but I imagine this would help a little anyway. The extra USB ports are nice too, if you use your notebook as your main computer at home.

I use fan control to keep the temps down, but I'm not over doing it.

I also have a Targus lap cooler... the one that can be positioned at different angles. It does the job ok.
