I have a Cable Modem with Comcast. Recently I have been experiencing drop outs every 20 or so minutes. This is very annoying when trying to download large files. It also drops out whenever the land line phone rings. Is this because my phones run on the same frequency? Also very annoying, feels like I am using dialup since I cant talk on the phone and use the internet at the same time.
Other than dowloading large files this is also horrible for playing games (Battlefield 2142). Its not quite as much of a problem when I'm on MacOSX as windows. But thats because I only use Windows for gaming.
This is probably two different problems, I wounder If phones on a different frequency would help. The random dropout is weird because I didnt experience it on my emac before I sold it. Only on my macbook pro.
Any help would be great.
