How do I recall an email that I just inadvertently sent? Thanks

Unfortunately, you can't.
If you sent it with Mail, then it is sent.

Bummer. It's an Outlook feature which I periodically use at work.

The end user still gets two messages. The original and the resinded. Just so you know. It's basically an auto oops I sent you a message feature(?).

Actually, I think if the message has not been opened it can be rescinded b the sender and the recipient only sees that the original message was sent but recalled.

You are correct. If the mail has not been downloaded by the recipient, it can be deleted from the server, if it has been downloaded but not read, it can be deleted from the users account. If it has been read, the user will get a second message.

In an Exchange environment where you are sending inter-office/domain mail yes. However most folks set there outlook settings to poll every minute.

I don't believe that outlook can delete outgoing email from any other server accept for the one it uses to send from.

It can, as long as it is an MS Exchange server IIRC..

I used to use Outlook at home (with NO exchange server) and frequently recevieve recall emails from colleagues. Which arrive. Which work.
