I have a 2.16Ghz MBP with 1GB of RAM and want to add more RAM... Is this RAM compatible with the computer?

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000I5JXDW/?tag=macforums0e4-20

I have seen some pics of ram where the little cut-out at the bottom where the gold plating is located at the left end and some where it is at the right end... Is this because the pics show the chip facing one side versus the other?

I don't want to buy this and find out that it isn't compatible.
Thanks

It looks to be compatible. I would suggest purchasing 2 of those for a total of 2GB and swapping out the original 2 modules.

Don't look at the pics... look at the specs. :black:
If the specs on a retailer's site match those that are on the Apple page for a particular computer, then it will work. The pictures on sites mean nothing.:black:
