Transferring from Ipod to Mac

I'm a fairly new mac user. I've had my imac for 10 months or so. On my pc i used idump to back up my songs, but i'm not sure what to use for a mac. I've checked out a few and they all screw up my song info. Are there any out there (free preferably) that will keep most of the info intact?

I would guess that you are trying to transfer your music library from your PC to your Mac? The easiest thing to do is to copy your WHOLE iTunes folder hierarchy from your PC to an external hard drive, and then reverse the process onto your Mac, completely overwriting the existing iTunes folder hierarchy.

You can also use a program available for the Mac called Senuti to simply import the contents of your iPod into iTunes on the Mac.
