Most likely, yes. Still nobody can really answer that just yet since it won't be released for another 6 months or so.

I know when Steve Jobs had the revealing, he showed a lot of things, but I didn't remember if me mentioned that.

Steve specifically said that 10.5 will support the G3 through the Intel chip.....

Mac Pro 8x3.0ghz 12gb ram 8800GT , MBP 2.16 2GB Ram 17 inch.
It will be a while before they drop the g4.. longer before they drop the g5... but they soon with both be dropped when apple goes all intel.

Yes, from 10.4 to 10.5 you have to pay for the new OS because it isn't an upgrade it is a new OS.
