Recovering Panther Serial Number

Hi guys

just about to do a clean install on my G4 which currently has Panther 10.3.9 intsalled, problem is it came without any install disks I therefore bought Tiger 10.4 from ebay and i am goint to do an install. however someone has since give me a Panther disc as well my question therefore is this should i want to revert back to panther bearing in mind i'm a newb could i get my current key from within this machine before i do a reinstall. i don't have suffcient hard disk space to install both as i only have an 80GB drive

I'm assuming you mean an installation key like Windoze? You currently don't need a key to install or reinstall OSX. Who knows with Leopard, but I have never had to have a key with OSX before up to and including Tiger.
