external monitor question for windows xp

Hi,
I just installed mac boot camp, and so far so great. I have a external monitor hooked up to my macbook, that can run 1440x900, is it possible to get my monitor to run this resolution instead of 1280x800, when running windows XP. It works fine for mac osx just not for windows xp.
