Adobe Illustrator CS2

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums, this is my first post. I'm having a problem with Illustrator CS2 on my Macbook Pro. Everytime I try to use the Pathfinder to link objects, or when I use the knife tool, it crashes. i was wondering if there's anything I can do to remedy this as I need these tools and the program in general for my College course. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

ive never had that problem on my macbook pro, but you might try uninstalling version cue, that solved a lot of my problems.

I have never had this problem either. You could try trashing your Illustrator .plist files and repairing permissions.
If all else fails, just uninstall it and use your install CDs to start fresh.
