I just brought a USB wireless adapter to allow my G3 iMac to access the internet (I used to run a long ethernet cable from my router, and Apple Airport cards are around £80 here in the UK).

I got my ZyDAS BlueNEXT USB adapter installed and working fine with full WPA encryption and internet/adium etc works fine.

But, every time I start up, the configuration window comes up showing signal strength, link quality etc. There are no options to disable it or hide it. Also, I have tried looking in System preferences > Accounts > Startup Items, but it is not there.

Can anybody tell me how I can disable it from coming up? Thanks.

Did you check the program for the wireless adapter OR is this just plug & play? Because I have never used one of those so I am pretty much taking out my (you know what). Maybe if there is an app loaded you can disable from there.

Anyone got any ideas?

Maybe an application to hide the config window automatically?
