Hey everyone, I'm looking into a 17" MBP to run Cubase SX. I've run Nuendo and SX on PC's for years but wanted to know if any of you have successfully run SX on a MBP. I'd opt for the 7200rpm drive and would be using my Tascam FW1884 as an interface. I'm really looking for a portable rig that I can use for onsite recording without dragging the kitchen sink everywhere I go. Thanks in advance!

Cubase SX 3 and before are not universal binaries(UB), I'm not sure if they would even run, but it should emulate.

Cubase 4 adds UB support, so it will work natively on a MBP, therefore if you did want to I guess you would probably want to get Cubase 4 (just remember stuff from 4 cannot be used on 3 etc).

I have a similar dilemma, the place I work uses Cubase 3 but to run on my Intel Mac I need Cubase 4, so at the moment I'm considering Cubase SX 3 and use it on a windows partition on my mac.
