I'm looking at purchasing Finale SmartMusic software (smartmusic.com). They recommend using a Griffin iMic to connect their microphone to a Macintosh. Do I need this to use their mic with my powerbook? doesn't the powerbook have an audio input which the mic just gets plugged into?
