Microphones

Starting playing around with Speech and it brought up a question: am I right in assuming Mac only uses certain microphones? My old pc mic seems to be too big to plug in.

Basicly it depends on the plug end that goes to the computer... I use a Heil P40 that plugs into an UB802 mixer and then a line from the mixer to the back of the Mac. It uses just a standard mini plug into the Mac. You can also probably use a usb mike too.

Any standard audio jack will fit in the mic port (audio in). Sometimes not the whole connector will slide in flush with your mac but that doesn't matter at all.
