Dvd Patch?

im sure im not the only person that buys dvds from all over the world

is there a patch for the dvd software which will make it region free?

pulse that is a different issue

yes there is a firemware thing you can do, i dont know the exact link tho but just search for it.

altering the firmware i believe voids your warantee

but you should be able to use VLC without having to deal with region coding changes

Ironically I can't view some DVDs from my region :p, not sure why, just says it cannot recognize the format. I might try that VLC thing and see if that helps :D

Oh this is a painful story.

If you have a newer Mac, especially an Intel Mac, you can't do anything. Apple is now using drives that are not flashable, and that VLC cannot override. There's no way out. You could try ripping the DVD, but even that oftne fails.
