I'm sure I read a post somewhere about changing the volume icon displayed for Windows when you have installed it as NFTS so dont have write access. I can't find it so am posting to let you know I have found out a way lol! I'm sure people already know this but I didn't! :p

Use CandyBar to change the default Internal Device Icon to the icon you would like for Windows. You can then change your Mac drive to whatever you want using CandyBar (within volumes) or through the more traditional way of copying the icon and pasting it in the info window.
