Any way of using my cellphone as a modem?

I have a sidekick 2 device with unlimited data/internet plan.
Is there any way of using my phone as a modem for when wi fi service isn't available?

if it has bluetooth you can set it up as a bluetooth device and use it to connect that way.

When you pair it with your mac, there should be an option to use it's connection as a dial up modem.
