I have an extra monitor hooked up to my powerbook g4 and the way I want it oriented is on top of my power book. So basically I would be looking up at my second monitor. I got everything hooked up and then i realized I can't drag applications ^ up because of the menu bar at the top. So as of right now I have it set up to be a monitor below my actual monitor so I have to drag stuff down for it to appear on my second monitor.

kind of annoying....

Does anyone know how to remove the block on the menu bar?

Thanks

System Preferences -> Display -> Arrangement

You can adjust the orientations there

In your monitor orientation screen, just drag the menubar to the top display.

But now my doc is locked to the top screen. Is there any way to have the dock on the bottom screen but the menubar on the top one?

And even more importantly, my dashboard is on the top monitor now.

Thanks

You cannot span the menubar and dock (and Dashboard) to different monitors like that. Those items must ALL remain on the same screen.
