Hello

As some of you may have read in the iMac forum, I am thinking of buying an iMac and to do so would be selling my iBook.

Now I have someone who is interested in purchasing my iBook who had a question that I could not answer, so I thought I would put it to you guys...

My iBook (12" iBook G4) is coming up to 2 years old now. I did not purchase the Apple Care protection for it when I bought the iBook. My friend who is interested in buying the iBook wanted to know if he could purchase Apple care for the iBook or not?

I was not sure on this issue as I don’t know the time limit you have got to buy Apple care after you buy a Mac.

Can anyone enlighten me as to weather it is possible to purchase Apple care for my iBook almost 2 years down the line?

Regards,

Chris. :mac:

To my understanding , you can only purchase Apple Care with the first year of the system being purchased. So no, you will not be able to purchase it now.

No you can not, as rman said. Even if you did not purchase it and you could you would only have 1 year left. If nothing has happened to it in these 2 years, and he takes good care of it, it is unlikely that something horrible would happen to it that would be alot of money.
