random shut downs??? ***???

ok, i own a macbook pro. for the second time it has randomly shut down. the energy was in the red, 15-25%, and it randomly shut down. has happened twice.... after i DL'd the latest updated... anyone know whats going on?

Seems like a case of the updates.

Did it start doing it immediately after the update or did it take a while? I just updated mine today and it's been working fine so far.

That issue only affects the Macbook; this is the Macbook Pro. The only widespread issue that MBP has had (to my knowledge) is randomly shutting down due to a faulty battery. A recall was in place some time ago.

How old is the machine? It's probably worth calling AppleCare to see if there is any information on problems in this area.
