PS2 on Macbook?

Can you use the MacBook as a monitor and play a PS2 on it?

No. No video input.

You have to be careful with those types of devices. They often introduce a short lag that doesn't affect viewing, but makes interactive gameplay impossible.

Exactly. Which is why they (at least IMO) shouldn't be recommended for that sort of thing.
Just use a TV for your PS2.

But how sweet would it be to plug in your PS2 to a MacBook and bust out SOCOM 3 on the road and jam away...

I have not tried it yet, but the "gamer option" sounds like a good idea.

Just chip your PS2 and save the games to the HDD. drive away

It's supposed to enable you to connect a consol and have "0" latency because the external box does the processing... Not the usb bus or computer.

Check it out.

i bet it looks terrible.

i have a TV card in my PC, and video games look awful if you don't use the S video connection and even then, the colors and picture just aren't designed to be on a Monitor.

that would be sweet though... plug a GCN or a PS2 (especially with that little one they have now) and play...
