Oddball "crash" - any ideas?

My wife was working in iPhoto on her 20" Intel iMac and the screen grayed out with the following message:

"You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button for serveral seconds or press the restart button."

Any ideas where that came from?

It isn't Oddball in the least. Lots of people get this, it is the dreaded Kernel Panic... and there are several reasons why you get them so I doubt anyone could pinpoint it for you.
