Help with beige G3 300

I have problems with my beige G3 300.
When I turn it on the little Mac shows up and then the computer trys to reboot.
What could it be?

Have you tried booting off a CD? Restart holding the C key down with a bootable CD in the drive. This will allow you to at least determine if you have a hardware or software problem. If you can boot off the CD, try running a system utility like Norton. If this can't find/fix the problem I would do a clean install of the system software, which means you lose all your preferences and aftermarket exentions will have to be reinstalled.

If you can't boot off an external disc I guess you have a hardware problem and it's off to the shop if you think that makes any economic sense.

I would suggest disk warrior instead of norton.
