Does anyone have experience running Peachtree Accounting software on the new Mac duo chip? It is a Windows only program. I want to replace my work laptop with a Mac, but absolutely must be able to run Peachtree. The Peachtree people were no help.

Thanks

If the program is Windows only, then its Windows only.
The "Mac Duo" chip is the same chip as any other. The processor doesn't delegate what applications can and cannot run, the OS does.
So, to answer your question... no, the program will not run under Mac OS. You will have to use Windows.

OK let me rephrase that, when Windows on a Mac Duo, does anyone have experience running Peachtree? Do 100% of programs that run on Windows run the same on the Mac?

Thanks

Peachtree should work if you run Boot Camp and install Windows XP. It works just like any other XP machine.

yes the core duo is not a mac only chip, its in dells, and hp, and other pc brands. The processor has nothing to do with what can run on it as long as windows can run on it, any software that windows can run can run on the chip.

As you run that Windows program under Windows there would be no issues.
It makes no difference if the computer is from Dell, HP, Apple, Compaq, Gateway or any other manufacturer. If the program is designed for Windows and the computer you are using is running Windows then there is no reason why it wouldn't work.
