Confusing title, I know, but I wanted to make it easy on any searches in the future.
Alright, I currently have a website (www.digitalmemorieshome.com) which was made with iWeb and hosted by .Mac. I am displeased with the performance of the website and the lack of features (no user interaction) with .Mac and was thinking of moving to DreamHost and remaking the website from scratch.
Now, since it's a wedding videography business, I'd like the potential clients to be able to check what dates are booked and what dates are free. I'm assuming for this, I'd need a database with a calendar of some sort.
1. What would you recommend doing for the database backend of the site?
2. Are there any scripts that would help me in this?
3. Does DreamHost allow user interaction with PHP scripts and the like? (unlike .Mac)
4. What is your favorite color?
Thanks for any help!
