Just opened up the box a few moments ago.

Wow! it's beautiful.

Now I just have to learn it.....

EDIT: Here is the first picture. I hope to get on with the illuminated keyboard tonight.

Thanks for being patient.

Sorry for disapearing for a few days. It's been hectic around here. I will take some pictures and post them as soon as I can get WinXP sp2 to connect to the internet through parallels.

Win2k worked fine, but upgrading to XP sp2 went poop.

I tried to take one of the notebook open. But the glossy display + my zero knowledge of camera settings = poor pictures.

Sorry

Wow! Very cool. Just curious why you chose to get a MBP now, when Apple will likely be coming out with upgraded processors for them shortly. I'm fighting a huge urge to purchase a 17" and would love to hear your thoughts.

Chris,

My reasoning was simple: I am starting graduate school now. Part of my field is computational chemistry. So I needed a computer now. Couldn't keep waiting for Mac to launch the C2D, then wait for a revision or two to come out to screen out any quirks.

That's pretty much it :)

Now, if there was an upgrade next week. You bet I'd go for it.

Frank
