imac blue scree..Help!

I hope this is considered a hardware problem.

My IMAC , ( the cool "et" model) has startup issues. IT won't!
Please HELP someone....The screen goes from the silver apple thinking to a void of blue.
Sometimes it says in a small blackish grey screen...That I have to restart the machine...But sometimes it is just blue?

I looked at what you suggested.

the link to the article does not work. The"look here" did not apply to me since I could not enter to apply any of the suggestions.

No disrepsect honor roll guy 2005 what ever that meant....but My screen is blue and I don't get what boot camp means ( beginning area?) or what I should do after searching. If it is simple to some then help.... it is not simple to others. Photoshop, digital photo questions or art in general I'll help you but here I am lost.

Do I press the "d" key and restore the system?
Do I start with os 9 and then go to os 10 whatever?
