I'm probably being stupid. But when burning a CD, how can I see the amount of space taken up on the CD before clicking 'Burn'? When I right click and 'Get Info', It'll show something like '600KB' which I know is not right.

doesn't seem to work for me. Will still show the size of a large .avi file as 16KB, as if it were just a shortcut. Are you sure this works for you when inside the burn folder?

Burn folders are basically just that, They contain short cuts or aliases. It does this for two reasons. One it saves HD space by not duplicating items and two it allows the folder content to be dynamic. This I'm sure you already know. If you get info on the burn folder there is a burning widget. Then there is a calculate button. This calculates the content size.
