802.11g Speed booster?

Hi,

I did a search for speed booster before posting, but the 2 threads did not reveal an answer to my question which is:

Are MBP 'natively' compatible with the speedbooster technology or do I have to go out and buy a 802.11g w/ Speedbooster card?

I doubt it to be honest... wifi drivers can be tricky..

Besides, do you really need the faster speed? I'd personally just wait for the 802.11n stuff to be ratified...

It's really the distance that I am more interested in.

We are setting up a wireless network in my labs and offices at school. We're spanning over 3 floors.

I know I know, we can always install repeaters, but that just means more hardware to buy.

I'd look into getting the rangemax router from netgear (I think).

It's supposed to guarantee a very reliable signal over large distances...
