"The Volume for 'Documents' cannot be found" Im guessing bad?

I tried dragging a file into my documents and all of a sudden im getting the volume for documents cannot be found. Are all my documents deleted? The only thing i can think of is that i just turned on my filevualt but when i turn it off i still can't get into my documents folder. Any ideas? thanks
