Airport USB printer problems, help?

MACBook Pro.
Just bought a new Epson stylus DX 6000 today. I installed it fine on my MBP and when the USB cable is directly into the MBP it works fine but not on my Airport. Its listed in my printer setup utility etc but when i go into the airport setup utility and go to base station options then USB printer, its not named. I cant figure it out. When i try to print i get a message saying communications error popping up. Please help im dying to try this machine out. Its driving me crazy. Cheers :confused:
