Getting video off of a Motorola DVR

Does any one know how to get data of off the Motorola DVR. It appears to have two USB ports on the front. I know I can connect a VCR to the back of it.

My friend was in concert and recorded it. i want to be able to get a copy for him.

I don't think there is a direct way to do it but if you have a digital camcorder with video input you can connect the DVR to the camcorder and connect the camcorder to your Apple
