Switching Question

hi, i havent switched to mac yet, and im using winblows now.....

('m kinda against using illegal software[limewire] but i just could stand myself when i saw all those free programs available on limewire....

Now I wouldn't ever download anything from there for the Windows machine(viruses'n'stuff) but i had a question for you experienced mac people......

Is it really safe for me to get that software for the mac and download those programs? I mean when i get my new 15" PB 1GB Ram, Superdrive and all that i dont want to be ruined........Can anyone give me some advice?

I'd really like to stay away from all that but when i saw that i could get Final Cut Pro 4,Keynote,Photshop CS all for free i didn't know what to believe!!!!
