open in new window..

is there a way like on windows where you right clicked and selected to open window in a new tab or a new window...is that possible on a mac book? cheers (im using safari)

yeh but that just opens a new window from scratch...not like right clicking a link and taking you too it on another window..this was great for browsing forums/news sites

just right click if you're using a mouse, or control click. For macs, control click is the same as right click.

Depending on your browser, command-click should open a new window or a new tab from a link.

In Safari, go to Preferences>Tabs and place a tick in the Enable Tabbed Browsing box.

Next either place a tick in the Select new tabs as they are created box or you can just leave this unchecked.

IMHO, I prefer to leave it unchecked and just hold ctrl as you hover the mouse cursor over a link, then from the menu that appears, select either open link in a new window or new tab....
