NEVER buy one without this!!! Cant even tell its there and your iPod will never scratch, its cheap and garanteed for life!! It's like you have a scratch proof iPod, I'm serious, you can't tell its there, just a thin sheet of clear rubber that is custom cut to fit your iPod, get it wet, stick it on, squeegy the water out, let it dry for 24 hrs, sticks and wont peel off and looks like there's nothing on it at all....

The Invisible Shield

My buddy showed me his luckily right before I bought my video iPod, I took it out of the box, put it on, and my ipod has never been scratched since.....

even if this is a repost, people need to know this stuff!!!!!!

Yeah, lots of companies sell similar products.

They definitely are worth getting if you buy the video, the new nano is pretty scratch resistant though...

I agree. I bought this for my 30 gig video and put it on right out of the box. It comes with a lifetime warranty too. I'm very happy with it.

w3rd.

iPod video will scratch up from being in the pocket of your jeans.
invisishield really helps. and you don't have to pull it out of a case to set it in a dock speaker.

Apparently this one is just as effective: http://www.bestskinsever.com/

and the corners are less prone to lifting. I've got one on its way, will let you know how I get along.

My capdase silicone case (with hard screen protector) didn't do the job and let a bit of grit between the screen protector and the screen :( Anyone got any 1st hand experience of scratch removal? :D (PM please, don't want to hijack this thread!)

I completely agree. I own one for both my MDA and iPod very durable and well worth it imo.

I haven't really had a lot of luck with the protectors that require water to apply. I had one for my 5G once, but eventually it just started looking like garbage. I realized that the whole point of these things is to keep the iPod looking nice, so I had to ditch it when it started looking trashy.

Contour showcase is the best case. I used it with my 30G pod and am using one now with my new 80G pod.
