Upgrading to OS X 10.4 = Any Problems?

I am going to be upgrading from OS 10.2.8 to version 10.4 Tiger on my Mac. I have memory: 512 MB and Processor: 1.85GHz PowerPC G5. I have never done an upgrade to my OS and wanted to know if anyone else has gone from 10.2 to 10.4 and if there were any problems I should be aware of. Also, any words of wisdom before I attempt this would be appreciated! Thanks!
